Performance

Arc's published ClickBench and ingestion benchmark results, the per-database comparison posts, hardware sizing guidance, and the methodology behind each recorded run.

Use the hardware sizing guide to choose a starting Arc OSS instance for ingestion, queries, or both together. Published comparative benchmarks stay attached to their hardware and methodology on the Basekick blog.

Hardware sizing

Measured starting sizes for native OSS deployments, with both ingestion protocols and WAL settings.

Benchmarks

Where the ClickBench and ingestion results live, and how each run was measured.

Storage File Format

Arc's on-disk file format: every deployment stores measurement data as Apache Parquet, with Snappy on the ingest path and ZSTD after compaction.
